hello, it's aashi again :)
i am so so happy that you found my little corner of the internet and that you stuck around to read my about
page!
i spent a lot of time hand crafting every element of this page. i really think i grew as a programmer, as a
designer, and definitely as an artist. there's something truly special about taking the time to hand craft
everything with intention, and creating a design that makes people smile.
that being said, and despite my love for this first design, i am in
progress of redesigning the site to showcase myself further, communicate my technical skills, and make my
site more accessible so that everyone can navigate my site without issues. this is not a decison i took lightly, but i am confident
that i'll still be able to show the fun and whimsical side of myself.
if you've read through this, thank you :) your support, even something as easy as reading my site, means the world to me.
instead of boring you with more paragraphs, let me give you a run-down of things you should definitely talk to me (or email me!) about:
salvador dali's work
if you paid attention to some of the objects on my landing page, here's where you can learn a bit more about why they're there!
metrocard
i am a new york city native (and therefore iron-clad with bagels and
metrocards)
i also take pride that spiderman is from my hometown (forest hills, queens)
bookshelf
slight offshoot, but i love all kinds of art and media, from graffiti to
books to music. my favorite pieces in no particular order are the bear (tv show), almond
by won-pyung sohn (book), and the amazing spiderman 2 (movie)
red backpack
i am a huge nature person. i like to run and lift on a regular
basis, but prefer kayaking, hiking, mountain biking and swimming (and that red backpack is indeed my
real life hiking bag)
ipad & pencil
my love of design largely comes from my love of visual art and
animation. i pursued fine arts in high school as a hobby, and still draw to this day.
fun fact: every graphic on this page was drawn and animated by me!
arduino
robots and robotics have to be some of the coolest things to me, and i
like to build and mess around with arduinos from time to time. i also love keeping myself up-to-date on
robotics news and hope to work with some at a future job
assorted coffee cups
theres a 90% chance you will find me with a coffee in my hand
at any given time, and a 99% chance that the coffee i'm drinking is a latte
